This city was launched as government of Dubai project in 2006, it is a reflection of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision. He is the vice president and prime minister of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai. The Government aims through this project to establish and maintain an environment in which each individual is granted the opportunity to achieve all of his ambitions solely for the greater good of society.
As a result, the city will be at its prime in 2021 and it will truly be a city full of capable, innovative and happy people as envisioned. Moreover, it will be a self-contained city; in short, it will be the desired place to work, invest and most importantly live and make the outmost of life. Not to mention the crucial part it plays in the global economy as a smart and sustainable city.
